MY ETHICS AND VALUES
The below document describes the frame of all the work that you can participate in with me.
If you do attend any of my sessions or workshops - it means that you agree to the below terms.
Please read it fully and see if it resonates with you.
I am looking forward to meeting you on those terms!
4. Disclaimers
4.1 Somatic Intimacy Coaching and trauma
Sexological Intimacy Coaching on its own is not a suitable practice to address unprocessed sexual trauma. I am not a therapist and my work is trauma-informed, but not trauma-centred.
Even though our sessions happen at your pace - some of the practices may act as potential triggers. I have received training allowing me to support you in case it happens and the sessions include co-establishing a trauma first aid kit - but they can not replace therapy.
If you are with unprocessed sexual trauma - it is extremely important that you have someone that can support you professionally outside of our sessions.
I am also open to working in a triadic model with you and a therapist/another health professional. If you are interested in this type of work - please consult them first and let me know about it.
4.2 The things I don't do
1. Ethics
1.1 Codes of conduct and supervision
It is of utmost importance to me that the spaces I hold for others are safer and led in a way that is of service to others. Therefore:
-
All of the sessions and workshops I offer are held within the frame of the following ethical codes:
ACSB (Association of Cerified Sexological Bodyworkers)
and
SIC (Somatic Intimacy Coaches) - developed by the Relational Harmony Institute -
I continuously take part in professional supervision. My current supervisor is Shanti Kearney
-
I participate in regular therapeutic sessions
-
I regularly take part in peer supervision with RHI graduates, working within the field of Somatic Intimacy Coaching
-
I strive to broaden my knowledge through participation in conferences, workshops and self-education
1.2 Feedback and grievances:
Your preferences, thoughts and feedback are of huge value to me and they support my lifelong learning. You are more than welcome to share them during our sessions together, or between them - over a message, voice message or email.
I am also aware that due to the power differential between me and the people I work with - my impact may not match my intentions. If that happens - I am open to and trained in participating in a Right Use of Power 5-Step Repair Process (more information here) - which can help reestablish trust and address the intention-impact mismatch.
If the above is not sufficient and you were affected by me in a way that requires different kind of support/accountability - please email Relational Harmony Institute: home@relationalharmony.institute - who oversee my practice.
The sessions and workshops I offer and the way I hold them are deeply rooted in the values I was shaped by.
Even though I use the word "coaching" a lot - I am aware that it is a term loaded with associations - many of which I can't relate to.
Here are a few things I do not do, that are often associated with coaching:
-
I do not encourage people to "push through their limits". Safer intimacy work happens when you honour your limits, not ignore them.
-
I do not offer advice on how to be "the best" in bed. Sexual preferences are extremely diverse and there is no cookie-cutter technique that fits everyone. I do provide sexual and anatomical education instead.
-
I do not offer financial advice nor claim to be able to change your economical situation through work with energy. If you struggle economically - I believe that workers' unions can support people much better than any individual guru.
2. Professional Boundaries
2.1 Relationships with people I work with
It is important to me that the feel safer when deciding to work with me - and for this reason: I keep my professional and personal life apart.
If you decide to attend sessions or workshops with me - it means we will not establish a romantic or sexual relationship or friendship. If this is not something that resonates with you - please do not come to me within a professional framework.

If we already know each other and you would like to receive support from me as a practitioner - you can let me know and we can talk about it.
Please be aware that in case we decide to move into a paid professional container - the division described above will apply.
2.2 Communication:
If we are not currently working together - I prefer to be contacted by email (len.soma@proton.me) or via the "Work with me" tab
Once we start working together - we can switch over to Signal or another co-decided means of communication
I will respond to all messages within 3 days or sooner.
2.3 Chance encounters and overlapping social circles:
Once we start working together I will ask you whether you would like to be acknowledged (and how) if we were to meet each other by chance.
If our social circles overlap - please mention it during our first meeting. In that scenario - we will need to find a model that would allow for honouring your comfort in case we met at mutual friend's events.
No matter if our social circles overlap or not - I will never reveal the fact of your participation in neither sessions nor workshops with me.
2.3 Kink and queer spaces in Europe
If you are a member of a kink and queer community, like I am - it is best we discuss the spaces and events we take/took part in at the beginning of our work together. We can then figure out how to build a frame that can allow for our further participation in those without potential overlaps.
3. Policies
3.1 Session length and pricing
I currently offer two session lengths:
75 minutes - the full price is 35 EUR
90 minutes - the full price is 45 EUR
Those prices are 50% of the ones I will start charging after certification at the end of January.
In case paying the full price is not possible for you - I do offer a reduced payment options using a solidarity scale. You can look up the details here.
I also offer session packages - if you pay for 5 sessions in advance - the 6th one is free.
Please be aware that each 6th session in a row is always 90 minutes and costs the same as 75 minutes one.
The last part of this 1,5 hour is used as a space to review your goals and as a check-in for whether you want to continue our work together.
3.2 Regularity
Somatic change happens over time and with regular practice.
I ask all the people I work with to choose:
-
a preferred length of the sessions (70 or 90 minutes)
-
a fixed session frequency (eg. once a week / once every two weeks / once a month)
-
a fixed day and time for our sessions (eg. every Tuesday at 19:00)
If it is not possible - we can look for some other solutions, but I will prioritise sessions with people who can work within the above frame.
3.3 Cancellations:
-
If you need to reschedule a session - please do so at least 48 hours before due date, by writing me an email. If you do not do that - the session will need to be paid in full
-
If I will need to reschedule a session - I will let you know over an email or your other preferred means of online communication
-
I understand that life happens, so in case of absolute emergency - please let me know and we can work from there
3.4 Online Sessions Guidance
I ask all the people willing to work with me:
-
to arrive on time and fully sober. If you arrive delayed - the session will not end later than it was scheduled to. If you are late more than 15 minutes or under the influence of any drugs (including alcohol) - the session will be cancelled without any refund.
-
to connect from a place without others in the room and free of interruptions. Ideally it would allow you to sit, stand and lay down whenever you need that
-
to connect over a computer or tablet - the smartphone screen is too small for some of the somatic practices
-
to use a stable (ideally cable-based) connection

Due to better data protection - I do prefer to work over Signal. If it is not an option for you - please let me know.
3.5 Solidarity sessions
There are a few groups of people (grassroot activists and people from dispriviledged backgrounds) that can use the option to participate in my sessions for free.
I also offer two different pricing models depending on where you live.
You can read more at the bottom of my Solidarity Scale page.
4.3 The use of AI
I find it ethical to represent myself as to not mislead the people looking to be supported by me.
The above text has been written without any use of Artificial Intelligence and closely mirrors my current line of thought around Somatic Intimacy Coaching.
4.4 Ending our work together
If you decide that this container no longer serves your further learning or goals - at any point you can let me know over an email and terminate our work together.

If I decide that I am not able to upkeep the coaching container - I will also let you know over an email. If I initiate the termination of the container - I will offer to connect you with another practitioner, if you will so desire.
